Berlin Mural Fest 2019
Project Name: BMF 2019
a project by Xi Design
In 2018, the first Berlin Mural Fest (BMF) debuted in the capital and was able to inspire its visitors. In September 2019 the festival entered its second round and brought the huge murals to places outside the usual urban art hotspots.
In September 2019, internationally renowned mural artists came to Berlin to expand the gigantic outdoor gallery with 10 more murals and strive for the end of the grey zone. Some of the Mural locations were located outside the S-Bahn ring, which highlighted that Urban Art can be found everywhere in Berlin and that the spots do not necessarily have to be in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg - this is how the capital city lives up to its reputation as an Urban Art metropolis. The festival was free for all visitors and attracted thousands of visitors during a period of several weeks and ended in a large night walk event where the murals were illuminated and animated at night.
Together with a great team at Xi Design, I was happy to support the Berlin Mural Fest 2019 as a creative freelancer in content creation, copywriting, and overall social media & communication strategy.
